Counseling Philosophy
“The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard but must be felt with the heart.” – Helen Keller.
We have strengths and unique abilities, which may be difficult to see when facing challenges. I firmly believe in a warm, caring, collaborative relationship with my clients. My style is strength-based. I believe in empowering individuals by assisting them to get unstuck and reach their goals. By using different modalities, I can tailor treatment based on your needs. Because each client has different experiences and backgrounds, I strive to be culturally sensitive, providing compassionate care to all. I believe in fostering change by enhancing insight, challenging negative thoughts and beliefs, and helping you process painful experiences to help emerge your best version of yourself.
Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.’ – Rumi.
I believe relationships are an integral part of our lives. Through relationships, we grow and learn. I think that humans crave attachment to significant people in our lives. While working with individuals, couples, and families, I remember those attachment needs and help clients heal from attachment injuries. I use various treatment modalities to help you find peace and harmony within yourself and your relationships.
I am married and a mother of two boys. I enjoy traveling, the outdoors, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I am fluent in English and Urdu.
